UNIKU JAYA – Generasi Baru Indonesia (GenBI) menggelar Talkshow dan Sosialisasi Digital Payment yang melibatkan para pelaku UMKM dan Mahasiswa Universitas Kuningan (Uniku). Kegiatan yang dilakukan secara offline dan juga online ini digelar Selasa (09/03/2021) bertempat di Gedung Student Center Iman Hidayat Uniku.
Ketua Umum GenBI Uniku, Teguh Nendra, dalam sambutannya mengatakan, “Dalam rangka merealisasikan program kerja Divisi Kewirausahaan, kami menggelar kegiatan talkshow dan Sosialisasi Digital Payment dengan mengusung tema ‘Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru UMKM Menuju Era Pembayaran Digital Melalui QRIS’ dengan sasaran kegiatannya adalah para pelaku UMKM sekitar kampus Uniku dan juga Mahasiswa Uniku.”
Lebih jauh, dirinya menyampaikan sudah ada 20 pelaku UMKM yang dibantu dalam pembuatan QRIS gratis.
“Kegiatan ini digelar dengan tujuan untuk menumbuhkan motivasi dan mewujudkan pengembangan dalam memajukan dan mensejahterakan ekonomi masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan kemajuan tekhnologi di era digital. Sejauh ini, tercatat sudah ada 20 pelaku UMKM yg akan kami bantu dalam pembuatan QRIS secara gratis,” ungkapnya.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Kepala Kantor Perwakilan Bank Indonesia Cirebon, Bakti Artanta, mengatakan Bank Indonesia (BI) memiliki tanggung jawab untuk mensosialisasikan digital payment.
“Di era digital ini, kami memiliki tanggung jawab untuk mensosialisasikan digital payment, salah satunya yaitu QRIS. Dalam mensosialisasikan digital payment ini tidaklah mudah, perlu usaha dan waktu sehingga kita harus bersinergi dan kolaborasi dengan semua pihak, termasuk mahasiswa. Disini, mahasiswa sebagai pemimpin masa depan dan pemeran utama untuk merubah ekosistem yang tampil digital harus mampu menciptakan potensi kerja dan tenaga kerja,” ungkapnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala BAAK Uniku, Iim Abdul Karim, S.P., dalam sambutannya menyampaikan pihaknya sangat bangga dengan kerjasama yang terjalin antara Uniku dan Bank Indonesia.
“Uniku sangat bangga bisa menjalin kerjasama dengan Bank Indonesia. Saat ini, pihak Uniku sedang melakukan seleksi berkas mahasiswa yang mendaftar beasiswa Bank Indonesia dan ternyata peminatnya sangat banyak. Terhitung dari data pendaftaran terakhir sekitar 300 sampai dengan 400 mahasiswa Uniku mendaftar beasiswa BI ini,” ujarnya. (nit)
